***Opening of Local Assistance Center for Slater and Devil Fire***

Yreka, CA – A Local Assistance Center (LAC) will be opening at the Kahtishraam Wellness Center (Karuk Wellness Center) in Yreka to serve residents impacted by the Slater and Devil Fires. The LAC is a one-stop-shop for recovery assistance.

Representatives from various local, state and federal agencies will be on-site to provide information on disaster assistance, counseling services, resource and housing assistance, information to aid in rebuilding and permitting, basic health and human services and other services available in the community.

LOCATION: 1403 Kahtishraam Yreka, CA.
DATE/TIME: Friday September 18, 10:00AM to 7:00PM
Saturday September 19, 9:00AM to 4:00PM

TRANSPORTATION IS AVAILABLE

STAGE is available to transport affected residents who are staying in local motels (see attached photo).

A message from SISKIYOU MODOC REGIONAL CHILD SUPPORT SERVICES- To our valued child support customers:
During this unprecedented time of heightened health alert due to the COVID-19 virus, our Yreka and Modoc offices are temporarily closed to the public for in person interviews for the safety of you and our child support staff.
We have also made the difficult decision to close access to our payment Kiosk but have other alternatives available. If you do come to our office, you cannot come inside, but we will call you on your cell phone while you sit in your vehicle. We also ask that if at all possible, you electronically submit paperwork we may need to continue working on your case via email, fax, PM or text.
You may reach our call center at (866) 901-3212 for help with your case, or you may call your case manager directly if you have their direct phone number. Our temporarily modified call center phone hours are Monday - Friday 8am-4:45pm.
