Merry Christmas Everyone!

Hey everyone,
Sorry it's been a while since we've posted.
The Hi 4-Hers were very busy this past year. Between fundraisers, community service projects, leadership development, and just plain having fun there was very little time to keep the page updated.
At the moment the group is taking a break for the summer and getting ready for fair. The Hi 4-Hers will be back in September 😊
We want to thank everyone for their support and help throughout the year. And hope everybody is having a wonderful and safe summer😁

The Hi-4-Hers had their Etiquette Dinner this past Friday evening.

The kids had to set their table properly. Learn which side was correct to be served from. How to accurately butter their bread. How to set aside an item of food on their plate that was not to their liking. What to do if they dropped their fork. Learn their napkin stayed in their laps unless they stood to leave the table. That the gentleman should always stand when the ladies left the table. (however many times that might be) And that bringing a host/ hostess gift is always a good idea :D

It was so much fun and the kids learned a lot and I saw a lot of smiles haha A big thanks to Jacki for putting on this event and all the hard work she did in the kitchen :)

The murder mystery dinner was a blast! Everyone played their parts well and laughed a lot :) A big thanks to Jacki for inviting us to the circus. The pictures from last night are in an album on this page. Thanks again everyone :D

Hi 4-H is gearing up for a busy year. October here we come!!

It's Fair time!!! Hope everyone comes out to support all the
4-Hers!

The Hi-4-Hers are off for the summer, see ya'll in the fall. Have a fantastic summer vacation :)

Last week the the Hi 4-Hers ran several booths at the Siskiyou fair grounds for this years Ag Day.
Including a booth on Poultry, the kids talked about how to raise and show chickens.
There was also a booth where the kids talked about byproducts of livestock and how they are used.
Another booth had saddles where the school kids could sit and learn about cattle drives and what each person's job was on the cattle drive.
The last booth the kids helped out with talked about logging and it's purpose. Then the kids got a chance to guess the number of logs on the truck.
It was a great day and the kids had a lot of fun doing it.

Did you know that country music singer, Reba McEntire, was involved in 4-H? When she was younger, Reba stayed out of trouble by working on the ranch, rodeoing, and having a fun time. One of the ways Reba grew to love singing was through the individual act for her 4-H club, Share the Fun. 4-H helped Reba create her passion for singing!

The Hi 4-H worked really hard and earned enough to take a trip to Disneyland. They had a blast Pictures soon to fallow. The group is now looking forwards to completing their service learning project.
