Congress Faces Critical Vote on Planned Parenthood Funding A Defining Moment for Taxpayer Dollars and the Sanctity of Life
Time is running out. Congress is preparing for a pivotal vote in the coming weeks that will decide whether to extend — or make permanent — restrictions prohibiting federal Medicaid payments to Planned Parenthood and other abortion providers. These critical limitations expire on July 4, 2026, and failure to act decisively would hand a massive victory to the abortion lobby while forcing millions of pro-life taxpayers to continue subsidizing an organization whose core business is ending unborn lives.
Conservatives rightly demand that scarce federal dollars stop flowing — even indirectly — to sustain Planned Parenthood’s infrastructure and operations. These funds should instead support real community health centers that provide genuine women’s health services without destroying innocent life. In deep-blue California, state leaders have already wasted millions of your tax dollars to backfill lost federal funding, further burdening families already crushed by high taxes and living costs.
For North State families in Siskiyou County and beyond, this fight is personal. The tragic passing of pro-life Congressman Doug LaMalfa makes this battle even more urgent.
