These are the sweet, furry faces currently looking for their new forever here at Yreka ACO! Each with their own personality, lifestyle, and personal needs. Here's a bit about each of them —
First up is Happy: 🐾 (He refused to wear a bandana... not a fan of dress up, apparently.)
Happy has been in and out of our kennels for a few months now due to no fault of his own, but his current stay started on 08/03/26. He's approximately 4 to 5 years old, weighs about 77 pounds, and knows who he is. 😎 He's loyal, affectionate, playful ,and intelligent with his chosen person. He's not one to be besties with just anyone — but once he's yours, he's an overgrown... slightly stubborn lapdog.
Next we have Miss Maggie:🐶 (Adopted!)
Maggie came into our care on 08/27/26. She's about 2 years old and weighs 68 pounds. She loves people, is a little awkward in new situations, and is a major foodie(very relatable, we'd say 🫣). She grew up around children and absolutely adores them. Her one request is to be your one and only furry friend in the home.
Then we have Rebel:🤪
Rebel is only about 1 year old and weighs in at a solid 51 pounds. He's loving, goofy, intelligent, and incredibly curious. He loves other dogs... just maybe not the best at understanding when they don't love him. He also loves people, treats, and toys!

We have Outlaw: 🏞️
Outlaw was on his own for about 4 months before we were finally able to catch him. He came in on 09/24/26, seems to be around 4 to 5 years old, and possibly around 45 to 50 pounds. When he came in, he was full of worms and covered in fleas — but otherwise in good shape. He's still pretty scared of human touch, but he seems to love other dogs and, clearly, has a love for adventures.
Last but definitely not least, Franklin:💕
Franklin is a lovebug of an old man through and through. He came in on 09/26/26, is at least 9 years old, and weighs around 55lbs. He's been great with other dogs, even puppies, and adores humans. He's currently in a bit of rough shape, carrying old improperly healed wounds on his face and neck, and sporting a limp on his front leg. Though he needs some TLC, he's still full of love for life, adventure...and, of course, snacks.
