COME MEET YOUR RESPONDERS
The Morongo Basin Community Emergency Response Team (CERT)

We are sponsoring an event to showcase first responders, available emergency services, public utilities and other organizations that are ready to assist in the event of a major disaster.
Morongo Basin CERT is a 501(c)3 Corporation and is sponsored by the San Bernardino County Office of Emergency Services, and is comprised of volunteers from all over the Morongo Basin. Each member is trained in emergency first aid, small fire suppression, light search and rescue, victim extraction and evacuation, psychological response, terrorism response and more.
The event is called the Great Shakeout and is free to the public. It will be held on Thursday, October 15, from 9:00 AM to about 3:00 PM in the parking lot on the north side of 29 Palms Highway and east of the Yucca Valley Jack-in-the Box.
Come meet and talk with representatives of the above organizations.

Station for a free, family-friendly evening focused on building connections between law enforcement and the local First Responders as well community..

MORONGO BASIN CERT - COMMUNITY EMERGENCY RESPONSE TEAM 🚨

What a great weekend at the 31st Annual Gublers Orchid Festival!

Morongo Basin CERT was on site and actively engaged with our community, educating local residents and visitors from near and far about emergency preparedness, disaster response, and knowing what to do when an emergency strikes.

We provided Emergency reparedness Folders filled with valuable information, resources, and helpful literature to help families be better prepared.

Because we live in a high-risk flash-flood area, we also provided FREE sandbags to families who wanted to
take an extra step toward protecting their homes and loved ones.

It was a wonderful community event, bringing together local vendors, food, crafts, local emergency services,
Animal Rescue Services present
the Fire Department, Ambulance services, and so many people & resources coming together.

All proceeds from Orchid flower 🌺
sales support local nonprofit organizations…
A HUGE WIN for our
community and everyone who participated! Prepared communities
are stronger communities.
