📚🍎 Happy first day of School! 🍎📚
Today marks the start of another exciting school year, and all of us at the Zachary Police Department wish every student, teacher, school employee, and family a safe, successful, and memorable year.
A lot of hard work goes into preparing for a new school year, and today classrooms will finally be full again! As students head back to school, we ask everyone to do their part to help keep them safe:
🚸 Slow down in school zones. Reduced speed limits protect children.
🛑 Watch for crossing guards. Their directions help students cross safely and should always be followed.
👀 Stay alert. Put distractions away and be especially mindful of children walking, biking, and getting on or off school buses.
🚌 Stop for school buses when required by law, and never pass a stopped bus with its stop arm extended.
Students: Whether today is your first first day, your last first day, or somewhere in between, we hope this year is filled with learning, friendships, growth, and great memories. Work hard, be kind, make good choices, and never be afraid to reach out to a trusted adult if you need help.
Have an amazing school year, Zachary!
