ZPS: Learning For Life Digital communication between Board and staff members, parents, and other community members or adults should always be professional.

Partnering with family and community, while recognizing the importance of every individual, Zeeland Public Schools ensures that all students are safe, valued, loved, and learning. This applies to direct communication and to communication to which they reasonably may be exposed. The expected standards of conduct on district-approved social media require all users, including but not limited to students, parents, and members of the general public, to conduct themselves in a respectful, courteous, and professional manner. Unless otherwise protected by law, examples of inappropriate communication include, but are not limited to:

ā— Communication that violates Board Policy, such as: communications that disclose personally identifiable information about students (see Policy 2003); communication that violates Board Policy against illegal harassment (see Policy 8007); etc.

ā— Communication that is false or misleading.

ā— Communication that attributes personal views to others, including the School District, school administration, or other staff members.

ā— Communication that defames or personally insults staff members or students, or otherwise undermines any staff memberā€™s ability to fulfill their responsibilities to the School District or its students.

ā— Communication that defames or personally insults Board members, parents, or community members and is not otherwise protected by law (AR 8009)

We've got a new little friend swimming around at Quincy Elementary!

Meet Sturgis, our newest sturgeon, who arrived Friday evening with a few excited young spectators cheering on the big move.

This arrival was extra special for fifth grader Cody! Cody has helped feed our sturgeon with his mom since kindergarten, and now he finally gets to see one in the tank as a fifth grader.

We're happy to report that Sturgis is settling in nicely and already has a healthy appetite!

Thanks to EVERYONE who participated in this year's vote.

Thereā€™s a little pumpkin patch pandemonium happening at Lincoln. šŸŽƒ

Every staff member has a pumpkin patch, and throughout the day, pumpkins can be stolen and added to someone elseā€™s collection!

As you can see, Mrs. Weaver and Mrs. Pittman are taking no chances. They built a fence, added a guard chick, and are protecting one VERY impressive pumpkin haul.

Just a little glimpse of the fun, creative culture that makes Lincoln such a great place to be.

9th and 10th graders in Mrs. Potgeter's class were ā€œbook tastingā€ their way through 11 different genres, sampling new titles and adding a few favorites to their personal To Read Lists.

And YEP, there were brownies and cookies too. ā¤
