Tri-Community Volunteer Fire Department Tri Community primarily serves the areas of Zoe, Leeco, and Zachariah. As such, all posts and uploads are subject to approval.

Our department is also contracted mutual aid with the City of Beattyville and Lee County, as well as neighboring counties Wolfe, Powell, and Estill. This page is made with the intentions of keeping in touch with our community and fellow firefighters across the commonwealth. Our department also hosts two annual jeep trail rides as fundraisers and we want to be able to keep in contact with our supporters with updates on up coming trail rides, as well as an opportunity for participants to upload their photos and videos of the ride. Our deepest condolences to the family and friends of Russell Wayne Coomer, who passed on July 27, 2026. Known to us here at Tri-Community VFD as 'Hollywood', he was a good man and a friend to the community. He volunteered as a trail guide at our charity Jeep rides always bringing a great attitude and good times. He even had a hand in the construction of our station, having poured concrete for the floor and footers of one of our bays. Rest well Hollywood, you will be missed. Hollywood was best friend, business partner, off roader, Masonic Brothers. I will miss him very much, so if you would say a prayer for "Hollywood" and his family.

To our incredible volunteer firefighters serving the Tri-Community Fire Department — I want to take a moment to recognize the unwavering dedication each of you shows every single day.
As your Chief, I can say without a doubt that you go above and beyond. From attending meetings and putting in the hours of training, to dropping everything in your personal lives to answer the call and run toward danger when others run away — your commitment does not go unnoticed.
Your courage, selflessness, and heart for this community are what make this department so strong. You are the backbone of Lee County, and I am beyond proud to serve alongside you.
Although I may only be able to watch from a distance for now, please know I am with you in spirit every step of the way. I’m cheering you on, praying for your safety, and looking forward to the day I can stand beside you again.
Stay safe, stay strong — I’ll be back soon.

This is a few years old and we didn't have time to make a new one maybe by New Year's but is still very good thanks to Kyle Cook. Hope it works right. Thanks for all your support. Remember the reason for the season
