Ambassador Ahmed Farooq paid a farewell call on H.E. Baxtiyor Saidov, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan on 22 May 2026 at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Uzbekistan.

Pakistani community based in Uzbekistan hosted a farewell dinner in honour of Ambassador Ahmed Farooq on 18th May 2026.

Ambassador Ahmed Farooq held a meeting with the Speaker of Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan, H.E. Mr. Nuriddin Ismoilov on 14th May 2026 at Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis.

Deputy Prime Minister / Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar spoke with the Foreign Minister of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Saidov.

The two leaders exchanged views on bilateral and multilateral matters of mutual interest, including Pak-Uzbek relations and regional developments.

FM Saidov also appreciated Pakistan’s constructive role in mediation for regional peace & security.

They agreed to remain in close contact.

Ms. Misbah Khar, Advisor to the Chairman Senate of Pakistan, met Mr. Sodyq Safoev, First Deputy Chairman of the Senate of Uzbekistan, on 12th May 2026 in Tashkent, to explore avenues for enhancing parliamentary cooperation, regional connectivity, and bilateral ties between Pakistan and Uzbekistan.

Ms. Misbah Khar, Advisor to the Chairman Senate of Pakistan, met Senator Kutbiddin Burkhavanova, Convener of the Pakistan–Uzbekistan Parliamentary Friendship Group, on 12th May 2026 in Tashkent to discuss strengthening Pakistan–Uzbekistan parliamentary cooperation and expanding collaboration in trade, connectivity, and cultural exchanges.

The Embassy of Pakistan in Tashkent, alongside the Pakistani community, commemorated the first anniversary of Marqa-e-Haq on 11 May 2026, paying tribute to the valour and courage of the Pakistani Armed Forces.

یہ تقریب یونیورسٹی کے ’گوشۂ اردو بنام علامہ محمد اقبال‘، جو ایک اسمارٹ لرننگ اردو سینٹر ہے، میں منعقد ہوئی۔ تقریب میں پاکستانی سفارت خانے کی ڈپٹی ہیڈ آف مشن ماہا شفیق، جامعہ کے اساتذہ اور طلبہ نے شرکت کی۔

As part of the Road Map signed between the Embassy of 🇵🇰 in 🇺🇿 and the Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies (TSUOS), the Embassy organized a special interactive session dedicated to the life and services of Muhammad Ali Jinnah, the founder of Pakistan on 6th May 2026 at the Gosha-e-Urdu Banam e Allama Muhammad Iqbal (a Smart Learning Urdu Centre) at TSUOS .

The session was attended by the Deputy Head of Mission of the Embassy Ms. Maha Shafiq, along with faculty members and students of TSUOS. Keeping in view the 150th Birth Anniversary celebrations of Quaid-e-Azam being observed this year, the theme of the discussion focused on the life, vision, and leadership of the founder of 🇵🇰.

During her interaction, Ms. Maha Shafiq introduced the students to the personality and historic role of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah in securing an independent homeland for the Muslims of the subcontinent. She highlighted his democratic vision, political wisdom, and unwavering struggle for the creation of Pakistan.

The participants were later shown a documentary focusing on Quaid-e-Azam’s role as the first Governor General of Pakistan and his efforts in laying the foundations of the newly independent state.

The documentary screening was followed by a short question-and-answer session aimed at assessing the students’ understanding and encouraging discussion on the life and contributions of Quaid-e-Azam.

At the conclusion of the event, certificates and prizes were awarded to the winners and participants of the essay writing competition organized by the Embassy on the life and philosophy of Allama Muhammad Iqbal earlier this year.

The event reflected the continued commitment of the Embassy and TSUOS towards promoting Urdu language, cultural understanding, and awareness about the history and intellectual heritage of Pakistan among Uzbek students.
