PRESS RELEASE

ARNOS VALE RESIDENT CHARGED WITH THEFT

June 17, 2026 – Kingstown: On June 16, 2026, police arrested and charged Kevin Strough, a 17-year-old resident of Arnos Vale, with the offence of theft.

According to investigations, the accused stole one (1) black and silver Suzuki remote key valued at $1,200.00 ECC and one (1) black Suzuki remote key valued at $800.00 ECC, with a total value of $2,000.00 ECC, the property of a 63-year-old mechanic of Villa.

The offence was committed in Villa on February 22, 2026.

Strough appeared before the Kingstown Magistrate Court on June 17, 2026, where he pleaded not guilty to the offence. He was granted bail in the sum of $1,500.00 ECC with one surety and was ordered not to have any contact with the complainant. He was also ordered to report to the Central Police Station every Thursday between 6:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. The matter was adjourned and transferred to the Calliaqua Magistrate Court for June 30, 2026.

MISSING PERSON

The Royal St. Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force is seeking the public’s assistance in locating Roman Pierre, a 25-year-old of Lowmans Leeward who was reported missing.

Roman was last seen on June 8, 2026, and has not returned home. Efforts to locate him have so far proven unsuccessful, and police are appealing to anyone with information regarding his whereabouts to come forward.

Anyone who has seen Roman Pierre or knows of his location is asked to contact the nearest police station or telephone the police emergency lines at 999, 911, Questelles Police Station 1785- 456-1750 or the Criminal Investigations Department/Major Crimes Unit at 456-1810.

The RSVGPF continues to thank the public and media partners for their cooperation and support in matters relating to public safety.

🎶 REGISTRATION NOW OPEN 🎶
RSVGPF Police Force Band Annual Summer Programme 2026

The Royal Saint Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force Band invites parents and guardians to register young persons for its Annual Summer Programme 2026, held under the theme:

“Harnessing Young Minds During Summer Time”

The programme begins on Thursday, 16th July, 2026, with an opening ceremony at the Peace Memorial Hall at 9:30 a.m. and will run for four and a half weeks.

Participants must be between the ages of 9 and 15 years.

The programme will feature members of the Police Force Band, along with personnel from various sections of the RSVGPF and government departments, who will engage participants in music and other meaningful sessions relevant to young people.

Registration forms are now available at the Police Band Room, Largo Height.
Registration fee: $25.00
Deadline for submission: Monday, 30th June, 2026

Please note that persons who have attended the programme twice previously will not be accepted.

Parents and guardians are encouraged to register early.

MEDIA INVITATION

Launch of the S.T.E.P.S. Initiative
Smart Teens Empowered to Prevent Situations

The Royal Saint Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force, through the Sexual Offences Unit, invites members of the media to the official launch of its pilot project, S.T.E.P.S. - Smart Teens Empowered to Prevent Situations.

The initiative is designed to help Grade Six students make informed and responsible decisions as they prepare to transition into secondary school. The programme will address important areas such as attraction and readiness, peer pressure and manipulation, relationships, sexual responsibility, personal boundaries, respect, and the legal consequences of harmful choices.

The pilot project will be launched with the Grade Six classes of the Kingstown Preparatory School and forms part of the RSVGPF’s continued effort to raise awareness, strengthen prevention, and safeguard the well-being of the nation’s children.

RICHLAND PARK LABOURER CHARGED WITH GRIEVOUS BODILY HARM

June 16, 2026 – Kingstown: On June 12, 2026, police arrested and charged Keshorn Durham, a 29-year-old labourer of Richland Park, with the offence of grievous bodily harm.

Investigations revealed that the accused unlawfully and maliciously inflicted grievous bodily harm on a 43-year-old chauffeur of Richland Park by striking him on the head with a hammer.

The offence was committed in Richland Park on June 10, 2026. Durham appeared before the Kingstown Magistrate Court on June 15, 2026, where he pleaded not guilty to the offence. He was granted bail in the sum of $2,000.00 ECC with one surety and was ordered not to have any contact with the complainant. He was also ordered to report to the Central Police Station every Tuesday between 6:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. Additionally, Durham was ordered not to leave the state without the permission of the court. The matter was adjourned to January 13, 2027.

CANE HALL RESIDENT CHARGED WITH ASSAULT

On June 12, 2026, police arrested and charged Notia Browne, a 35-year-old resident of Cane Hall, with the offence of assault.

According to investigations, the accused assaulted a 39-year-old security guard of Cane Hall by striking him in the waist with a stone, causing actual bodily harm.

The offence was committed in Cane Hall on May 29, 2026. Browne was granted station bail in the sum of $2,000.00 ECC with one surety. He is expected to appear before the Georgetown Magistrate Court on June 22, 2026, to answer the charge.

SPRING VILLAGE LABOURER CHARGED WITH WOUNDING

On June 12, 2026, police arrested and charged Glenroy Providence, a 56-year-old labourer of Spring Village, with the offence of wounding.

Investigations revealed that on January 9, 2026, the accused unlawfully and maliciously wounded a 32-year-old caretaker of O'Brien Valley, Georgetown, by stabbing him with a broken glass bottle.

The offence was committed in Georgetown. Providence appeared before the Mesopotamia Magistrate Court on June 15, 2026. He was not allowed plea as the matter is indictable. He was granted bail in the sum of $50,000.00 ECC with one surety. The matter was adjourned to July 23, 2026.
