Road Policing Unit

The Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF) is deeply saddened by the sudden passing of Police Officer Dikembe Vanterpool.

Dikembe joined the RVIPF on 16th August 2019 as a member of Cohort 4 of local training. Throughout his service, Officer Vanterpool served with dedication, professionalism, and a strong sense of duty, demonstrating a steadfast commitment to the safety and well-being of the people of the Virgin Islands.

His passing is a profound loss, not only to the RVIPF, but to his family, coursemates, and the wider community he faithfully and proudly served.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to his family, friends, and fellow officers during this extremely difficult time. May they find comfort in the cherished memories of his life and service.

May his soul rest in eternal peace.

Learning is fundamental in today's society, so in an effort to bridge the gap and support early childhood, the Road Policing Unit (RPU) proudly distributed stationary supplies to the teachers and students of the Enid Scatliffe Pre-Primary School.

We recognize that providing the necessary tools for learning is a vital step in empowering young minds and strengthening the foundation for their future success.
It is always a pleasure to give back to the community and invest in the next generation.

The Road Policing Unit had the pleasure of meeting with the seniors at the East End Community Center to talk about Road Safety and the newly amended traffic laws.

It was an engaging session filled with meaningful discussions. Our seniors are an important part of our community, and we're committed to help keep them safe on our roads.
