πŸ’ 80 mothers. One unforgettable day of empowerment. Some moments inspire you. Others stay with you!

On May 16th the 3rd Annual Mothers Matter Empowerment Event brought women from across the Virgin Islands together for powerful messages, emotional wellness discussions, encouragement, and celebration. ❀️ at the UVI 13D Research and Strategy Innovation Center on St. Thomas.

Hosted by the Access and Visitation Program (AVP) of the Virgin Islands Department of Justice’s Paternity and Child Support Division (PCSD), in partnership with six collaborating agencies: the Department of Human Services (DHS), Family Resource Center (FRC), Inc., Inspire V.I., LLC, One Communications, the UVI Center for Excellence in Leadership and Learning (UVI CELL) and the Virgin Islands Police Department (VIPD).

During National Police Week, May 11–17, 2026, Attorney General Gordon C. Rhea proudly recognizes the dedicated officers and personnel of the Virgin Islands Police Department for their service, sacrifice, and commitment to protecting our community.

The DOJ thanks the men and women of law enforcement for their courage, professionalism, and partnership in keeping the Virgin Islands safe. We also honor the officers who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty and remember their lasting legacy.

Motorcades and vigils will take place Friday on St. Thomas and St. Croix in observance of Peace Officers Memorial Day. πŸ’™
