The message mattered most.

At our community outreach event, I spent time talking with our young people about bullying, accountability, respect, and the importance of understanding that our choices affect others. Events like this give us an opportunity to listen, encourage, and remind our youth that being strong also means treating people with kindness and taking responsibility for our actions.

The activities were fun, but the message is what we hope stays with them long after the day is over. πŸ’™

Last Saturday was all about community, connection, and our kids. Even in the heat, we had a great time at the Positive Guidance Community Outreach Day at the Walter I.M. Hodge Pavilion and seeing the kids out there learning, playing basketball, laughing, and enjoying themselves made every minute worth it.

A big thank you to all the children and parents who came out, and to the community organizers, volunteers, and supporters who helped make the day possible. Thank you to everyone who donated food, school supplies, bags, shoes, and most importantly, your time. Every contribution helped us give our young people a day centered around them.

Our community works better when we all work together. No one person or organization can do it alone. When we bring our time, resources, and ideas together, we can create more opportunities and positive experiences for our children.

We would love to continue bringing events like this into communities across St. Croix and collaborating with other organizations and community leaders along the way.

Thank you, St. Croix. πŸ’™ Our young people are worth the investment.

Guiding today. Empowering tomorrow.

Today, we pause to remember the lives lost on September 11, 2001, and to honor the first responders, service members, families, and everyday Americans whose courage and strength carried our nation through one of its darkest days.

May we never forget the lives taken, the heroes who answered the call, and the unity that reminded us how strong we can be when we stand together.

Here at home, that same spirit matters. Whether it is supporting our young people, checking on our seniors, helping a family in need, or simply being there for a neighbor, strong communities are built through service, compassion, and unity.

As we remember September 11, may we also recommit ourselves to building a stronger St. Croix, one where we look out for each other and move forward together.

We remember. We honor. We will never forget. πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ

This is how I spent my Labor Day weekend, with our young people at the Positive Guidance Labor Day Weekend Basketball Tournament. πŸ€πŸ’™

This campaign started because I wanted to make a difference, especially for our youth. And while getting our message out, meeting voters, and earning your support are important, I will never allow the campaign to make me forget why I started.

Our children need us.

For me, supporting our youth cannot be something we only talk about during an election. It means continuing to show up, creating opportunities, giving them positive spaces to grow, and making sure they know they have people in their community who are rooting for them. They are worthy of celebrating.

I have always believed that when you invest in young people, you are investing in the whole community.

So yes, I am campaigning for a seat in the 37th Legislature. But I am still going to show up for our kids, support them, encourage them, and do the work I have always done.

I’m built for this…

Our youth are worth it. Every single time. πŸ’™πŸ€
