During the month of march, we celebrate women all around the world. Women are known for their resiliency and commitment to making the world, jobs, and others become better. But by doing all of this, statistics have shown that women at younger ages are suffering with mental health and suicidal thoughts. Please take some time to know and learn why you should support and encourage women not only in March but for the whole year.

Thank you to those that came and supported the “Morning Coffee and Games” event! Service members were able to further strengthen their knowledge in each other by playing games together. 🧍🧍♀️Knowing their personality, their strengths, and how they cope with stressful events can help you detect when your peers or other service members may need assistance.🎯🎲♟️The games provided were designed for all participants to express and share who they are creatively.

Today the goal was to complete one mile in our run/walk in spreading the awareness of su***de prevention! 🏃♀️➡️🏃♂️➡️Mission is complete! ✨Thank you to all the participants that dedicated their Saturday morning for a worthy cause. 💙💜 The National Guard community stands together for su***de prevention!

FACING SU***DE combines the poignant personal stories of people impacted by su***de with profiles of scientists at the forefront of research to reveal new insights into one of America’s most pressing mental health crises. The documentary shines a light on this difficult topic can destigmatize su***de while revealing that there is help as well as hope for those at risk and their loved ones.

To start the month of September right, the Office of Su***de Prevention gave out Prevention Goodie Bags to all Service Members! ✨
Inside those bags contains resourceful tools that can be used to promote positive mental health and wellbeing such as Affirmation Notes, journals, PTSD self test and sweets! 😊

In honor of National Su***de Prevention Month, let's enjoy a morning full of games! ✨You must know your peers to fully understand if the person standing next to you is going through a crisis. 🧍🧍♀️Knowing their personality, their strengths, and how they cope with stressful events can help you detect when your peers or other service members may be off. What is a better way of getting to know your peers and other service members by playing interactive games? 🎯🎲♟️The games provided are designed for all participants to express and share who they are creatively. In addition, participants will gain tips on how to improve their mental health through their peers.

Join us on St. Croix Saturday, September 14th, on a journey from darkness into light to remember loved ones lost to su***de and raise awareness for su***de prevention during National Su***de Prevention Month. As we run 1 mile together, we are spreading awareness to the cause that all lives are valued and that there is nothing we cannot overcome.🏃♀️➡️🏃♂️➡️
