A very special classroom — where most of the children are those with disabilities from shelters.
Some days they remember, some days they forget… but their smiles are always there.

Volunteers come not only to teach, but also to patiently listen, support, and share simple acts of love.
Each class is a small journey — slower, more challenging, but also far more meaningful and heartwarming. 💛

It’s not just about learning theory, but gradually getting familiar with real-life practice – from observing doctors during examinations, assisting with small tasks, to learning how to listen and truly understand patients.

Every day is a new experience. Sometimes it’s stressful, sometimes exhausting, but in return, you gain lessons that no textbook can teach.

One afternoon at the shelter, we didn’t do anything particularly big or extraordinary. We simply spent time playing with the children, chatting, laughing together, and listening to their little stories.

Yet those simple moments carried so much meaning. When the children feel cared for and understood, they no longer feel like they are facing the world alone.

And sometimes, we receive so much in return as well — their sincerity, their bright and innocent smiles, and a very simple kind of happiness. 🌱

One of the most memorable moments of the internship program: students entering the operating room in the Obstetrics Department, observing a delivery, and gaining a deeper understanding of the miracle of life.

Our international volunteers had the chance to paint and decorate traditional Vietnamese conical hats – a familiar symbol of Vietnamese culture. Through each brushstroke, the activity was not only about creativity, but also a meaningful way for volunteers to connect with local culture and create lasting memories during their volunteering journey in Vietnam 🇻🇳💛

Beginning in the 1990s, as if by a meaningful twist of fate, she entered the teaching profession starting as a preschool teacher, and later devoted herself to charity classes for children from disadvantaged backgrounds. Over more than 30 years of dedication to education, she has not only maintained her passion for teaching but has also continuously spread educational values within the community. Over the past three years, she has continued to accompany the community classes organized by Outreach, participating in English teaching as a learner. Through her own learning journey, she sets an example for her students, inspiring and encouraging them to broaden their knowledge and embrace a lifelong learning mindset.
