Last Friday, CCIFV was pleased to welcome Axel Baroux, Director ASEAN & Oceania at Business France, who took up his position in September.

The meeting brought together the 𝐂𝐂𝐈𝐅𝐕 𝐭𝐞𝐚𝐦 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐛𝐨𝐚𝐫𝐝 𝐦𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫𝐬 for an opportunity to introduce our activities, review the relationship between our two organizations and discuss new avenues for cooperation.

At the heart of the discussions was how CCIFV and Business France can work together over the long term, in a complementary way and within Team France Export, to better support French companies in Vietnam and across ASEAN.

On 29 September, our Breakfast Talk brought together business leaders and experts to explore the increasingly complex world of sanctions and export controls and what they mean for companies operating in Vietnam.

Vietnam’s export-control rules are evolving: Companies need to know whether their products, technologies or equipment are subject to local controls, and whether specific licences or authorisations are required before exporting or transferring them.

Several sets of rules can apply to the same transaction: A company operating in Vietnam may need to consider EU sanctions, US export controls and Chinese restrictions or countermeasures at the same time. Complying with one regime does not necessarily mean the transaction complies with the others.
Southeast Asia is facing greater scrutiny over potential circumvention: Companies therefore need to carefully check their customers and business partners, understand the final destination and end-use of their products, and maintain clear contractual and documentary records.

HCMC | Agrofood Committee | Committee Meeting Recap

The CCI France Vietnam - CCIFV Agrofood Committee brought its members together for a meeting dedicated to discussion and defining the priorities ahead.

The meeting had three main objectives: to review the Committee’s activities, present its 2026–2027 roadmap, including a focus on SIAL Vietnam 2026, which will take place from November 11 to 14, 2026 at SECC in Ho Chi Minh City, and, above all, create a space for direct exchange between member companies around their experiences, projects and challenges in the Vietnamese market.
