SELAMAT MENYAMBUT HARI WESAK

On 13 May 2026, Encik Hanisofian Alias, Interim CEO of Halal Development Corporation Berhad (HDC), paid a courtesy call on the Consul General of Malaysia in conjunction with HDC’s participation as a speaker at the Fi Vietnam (Food & Ingredients) 2026 Halal Conference.

The courtesy call offered valuable insights into HDC’s roles in spearheading the development of Malaysia’s halal industry. Discussions also focused on opportunities to strengthen Malaysia-Vietnam cooperation in the growing halal sector.

On 15 May 2026, the Consul General received representatives from Yayasan Sukarelawan Malaysia (YSS) as part of their preparation for the resumption of the YSS Student Volunteer Mission in the Green Summer Volunteer Campaign (GSVC) in Ho Chi Minh City.
The GSVC has been a flagship annual program, bringing passionate Malaysian student volunteers to HCMC for community development and creating lifelong cross-border friendships.

On 14 May 2026, the Consulate General of Malaysia held a productive meeting with Mr. Hau Jian from YonMing Group / YONMING AUTO (VIETNAM) CO. LTD, a Malaysian company based in Ho Chi Minh City, to explore possibilities for business expansion and future growth.

The Consulate General is dedicated to attracting new investments and actively bringing more Malaysian businesses into Vietnam market. We always welcome and support our investors as we build stronger economic ties between Malaysia and Vietnam.

On 11 May 2026, CEO of Invest Selangor, YBhg. Dato' Hasan Azhari bin Haji Idris made a courtesy call on the Consul General of Malaysia, in conjunction with their strategic mission to Ho Chi Minh City.
The discussions focused on promoting the Selangor International Business Summit (SIBS) 2026, scheduled to take place from 14–17 October 2026 at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC). The meeting also provided an opportunity to exchange views on potential areas of collaboration to further strengthen regional economic and trade cooperation.
SIBS continues to serve as a premier platform connecting ASEAN entrepreneurs, business leaders, and policymakers to foster greater regional partnerships and business opportunities.
