The poem describes the rows of elderly tamarinds on Trần Quý Cáp and Hồng Thập Tự streets, drenched in rain, reminiscent of an old love.

“Khi đến thăm dự án, tôi đã rất ấn tượng với các chi tiết và kiến trúc nơi đây, đặc biệt là những bức bích họa trên tường, diệu kỳ biết bao khi những bức tranh tường này đã được tìm thấy bên dưới nhiều lớp sơn phủ”. Lê Giang chia sẻ cảm nghĩ của cô về dự án. “Với tôi, quá trình trùng tu Biệt thự, giống như một công trình khảo cổ đang diễn ra tại điểm khai quật. Quá trình này truyền cảm hứng rất nhiều cho tác phẩm sắp tới của tôi tại Biệt thự."

"When I visited the site, I was very impressed with the details and architecture of the building, especially its murals, and I think it is very magical that all these murals were found under many layers of paint.” Lê Giang offers her insight about the project. “To me, the process of restoration of the Villa, it’s like an archaeologist with an excavation site. The process inspires me a lot in my creation for the Villa."

During Vietnam’s colonial period, grand mansions were typically constructed in urban areas and featured an eclecticism of Vietnamese, French and Chinese influences. Villa le Voile is an important representative of that history to this day.
