Vanuatu Infection Prevention and Control -IPC

Handing over of Hand Sanitizer Dispensers and Disinfectant to NCD Hub in response to NEOC request for IPC to action:
On the 7th of June 2022, the National IPC unit handed over 5 portable dispensers for hand sanitizer to the NCD hub at Fresh Water. In addition to that, were 10 of 5 litres of Ethanol 80% solution as the disinfectant used for refilling the dispensers.
The presence and support of Shefa Health was acknowledged. The NCD hub nurses, doctor and staff showed their appreciation and contentment by receiving these IPC items and thank the Ministry of Health and its partners of this donation.
The ceremony ended up with the demonstration of how to operate and use these hand sanitizer dispensers. Acknowledging
the Government of Japan through UNICEF Cooperation for the funding support!

Distribution of IPC guideline to VCH NIC and Dr's.

Despite the rain, the MOH Environmental Health Unit work tirelessly to ensure WASH/IPC needs in HCF are captured in the rapid assessment as part of COVID-19 preparedness. This will help develop improvement plan to upgrade WASH/IPC facilities in strategic locations on Efate identified by MOH.
