In March 1891, our forefathers made the British Empire pay a price for interfering in Manipur’s sovereignty. 5 high ranking british official incuding the cheif Commissioner of Assam were beheaded !!!!
Armed with just swords, they challenged an empire that ruled half the world. Imagine the fire that burned in their blood! If they stood fearlessly before an empire, who are we to forget our roots?

That spirit of resistance is woven into our history and identity. Never underestimate the Meiteis, never take Manipur’s people for granted, and never mistake our patience for weakness. Our history is our warning; our courage is our legacy! 🔥✊ standing for !! !!!!!
