Truly, we need true leaders and we saw that with VP Leni and Sen Kiko along with their senatorial slate. We also saw that heart of a leader in ma’am Carmen Cari who stood for every Baybayanons through thick and thin. 💖

Daghang salamat for the water system, VP Leni Robredo! Salamat pud, former mayor Carmen Cari! Inyo gyud pinangga ang mga Baybayanon.

Can you imagine living in a house with no water? You have to walk far to get water from public faucets or rivers. And you can’t even be sure if the water you get is safe to use. This used to be the situation in Baybay, Leyte. People were getting sick because of the lack of potable water supply.

Mayor Carmen Cari immediately set out to solve the problem. She met with various stakeholders, including the Baybay City Water District and the Brgy Captains and Councilors of the respective barangays affected to find a solution. After conducting and facilitating participatory planning and assessment with the affected households, it was decided that they needed to construct two intake tanks and expand their water supply source by installing an even more effective pipeline system for the community.

Now, residents don’t have to worry about contaminated and unsafe water, and the municipality continues to see lower cases of compromised health in the community.

The night before the , nag overtime pa ang mga volunteers para humanon ang float ug uban pang paraphernalia na among gamiton para sa People’s Rally. Nahuman ang tanang preparations at 1 AM on March 29 then assembly na at 8 AM. 🫰🏼
