Katie Sasina, CPhT, CPTEd of Binghamton University School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences, has built a career focused on strengthening pharmacy technician education through action, leadership, and mentorship.
She was recently honored with the New York State Council of Health-system Pharmacists (NYSCHP) Pharmacy Technician Award and was among the first in the nation to earn the CPTEd credential. These recognitions reflect her commitment to advancing education standards and supporting pharmacy technicians in practice and training environments.
As Katie shared:
“This is bigger than me. It's a win for pharmacy technicians everywhere who show up every day for their patients. We don't always get the recognition we deserve, but never doubt the impact you make every single day.”
