I had such a great time stopping by the annual Albanian picnic. These proud Staten Islanders are such a great part of the fabric of our borough, city, and country. I hope they had a wonderful day celebrating their community and culture.

My office partnered with the Staten Island District Attorney's Office on today’s shred event at the College of Staten Island. So many residents came out to get their sensitive documents shredded. Thank you to DA McMahon and his team for organizing these initiatives around the borough.

I had a great time earlier this morning at the Verrazzano Kiwanis First Annual Car Show in Midland Beach. Thank you to Verrazano Kiwanis Club for your continuous support of the Staten Island community.

It was great hosting our first community concert in Dyker Beach Park last night. Thank you to Il Centro, the IS 201 band, and the MAS Swing Band for a wonderful night! Stay tuned for future events.

I’m proud to partner with Il Centro Community Center to bring our Spring Concert in the Park to Dyker Park tomorrow at 5:30 pm. It’s free and open to the public, so bring your friends and family to enjoy classics in the beautiful weather performed by the IS 201 student band.

I don’t know what’s more alarming - the Mayor’s brazen plan to attempt to aggressively seize private property in an effort to create socialized housing, or this administration’s naive and facile misunderstanding of market economics and perhaps intentional ignorance of the Democrat housing policies that have created the housing crisis in the first place.
