A big thank you to the Hindman Settlement School for hosting the KRADD board meeting yesterday! 🙏

From the warm welcome to the beautiful setting, the staff were fabulous hosts and made our day a great one. And that lunch! The pork chops had everyone raving, and we're still talking about them. Thank you for taking such good care of us before we got down to business.

We're grateful for the Settlement School's hospitality and look forward to continuing our partnership for the betterment of Knott County.

💙 Giving a Voice to Long-Term Care Residents! 💙

This week, the Kentucky River Area Development District (KRADD) hosted its Long-Term Care Ombudsman Forum, bringing together community members, long-term care facility representatives, and residents for important conversations about the quality of care provided in our region's long-term care facilities.

The forum provided an opportunity for open discussion, shared perspectives, and meaningful dialogue about the experiences, needs, and concerns of individuals receiving long-term care.

At the heart of these conversations is a shared commitment to protecting residents' rights, promoting dignity and respect, and ensuring that the voices of long-term care residents are heard.

We want to extend a sincere thank you to everyone who attended and participated.

KRADD remains committed to advocating for the well-being, rights, and quality of life of older adults and long-term care residents throughout Eastern Kentucky. 💙

🌿⚡ Connecting, Learning, and Planning for Kentucky's Future!

Members of the Kentucky River Area Development District (KRADD) team recently attended the 50th Governor's Conference on Energy and the Environment!

This milestone event brought together leaders, professionals, and organizations from across the Commonwealth to explore important topics surrounding energy, environmental stewardship, sustainability, and economic development.

Opportunities like this allow our staff to gain valuable insights, make meaningful connections, and stay informed about initiatives that impact the communities we serve.

We're excited to bring this knowledge and these new perspectives back to Eastern Kentucky as we continue working toward a stronger, more resilient region! 💚
