❤️Kitra and Tenille (Kit and Ten) Need a Home!
These two sisters were returned to us just a week ago. Worst timing ever considering we are closing down in 3 days.

❤️They are sweet, affectionate, bonded, two-year old sisters. It was no fault on their part that they were returned. The 86 year-old man could not care for them anymore, and his apartment complex would only allow two cats. He had three.

There is no adoption fee for these girls.

❤️️PLEASE COME BY AND ADOPT THESE GIRLS. PURRRTY PLEASE.
*Bonus: If we can get them adopted, it will free up space for one of our other kitties to go to a an actual home rather than a barn.

Adopt a Cat is closing at the end of the month.
Everything must go.

⭐️Edited to add: We are sure there will be some carriers left over after we have moved the remaining cats, but we can't give those up until the 31st. (The dog kennels can go any time.) It will be first come, first served.

🟡Other items available: blankets, towels, food bowls

🔴We're getting a lot of messages for us to call people and for us to reserve items. We are sorry, but we are a very small team, this is a very emotional time, and our main priority is taking care of the remaining cats. If you're interested in seeing what we have available, please come by the shelter, preferably between 12 and 2.

Please tag any animal rescues, shelters, or sanctuaries that might be interested.

❤️LB NEEDS A HOME❤️

LB is a beautiful and sassy girl who wants to be supreme ruler of you and your home!

She's approximately 2 years old, spayed, and vaccinated.

She loves to be loved, but she is also feisty! Pet her head, rub her back, let her rub around your legs, and be sure to feed this girl wet food, and she will be your best buddy.

She'd probably do best as an only cat, but she does know how to befriend other cats...if she's in the mood.

Special notes: She currently does not like to be picked up. She sometimes gets a little overstimulated and will swat.

❤️ADOPTED: BOG a.k.a. Mr. Bogerton ❤️

We are so happy and grateful someone was willing to give this sweet old man a home. We cried tears of relief and joy.

We will miss you Mr. BOG, but we know you'll be happy and comfortable in your very own home.

Thank you Debra P! We know you'll take care of our boy. ❤

Bucky Needs a Home
(Adopt a Cat is closing at the end of the month. All cats need homes! Please share.)

When Bucky first arrived at the shelter, he struggled to adapt to his new surroundings. With time, he was able to peacefully share space with the rest of the kitties.

He is still skittish with new people, but he does enjoy head and back scritches and gets along well with the other cats and especially small kittens. His favorite toy is a plastic spring/coil. He can often be found batting it around the shelter when he isn’t relaxing on the kitchen counter.

We have no doubt that Bucky would eventually become a lap cat for the right person/people. He just needs time and patience to adjust.

Veronica Needs a Patient Home
(Adopt a Cat is closing at the end of the month. All cats need homes! Please share.)

Veronica is a wonderful girl with a lot of love to give. She's twitchy (scared/shy) with new people, but she is a real sweetie who loves to rub around your legs and accepts head and back scritches.

She's come a long way from a frightened kitty who swatted at us from her cage to a kitty who ditched her cage so she could explore the shelter at her leisure. She even seeks us out for affection.

Special note: Veronica has been adopted and returned twice because all she did was hide in her new homes. Veronica will need a patient and dedicated adopter.

UPDATE
Garfield has a place to go!!!! ❤️ Friends For Life Animal Shelter ❤️
-------------------------------
GARFIELD IS RUNNING OUT OF TIME
We are posting about Garfield again. Tag any FeLV friendly shelters, rescues, sanctuaries you know of, please. Adopt a Cat is closing at the end of the month!

❤️Garfield Needs a Special Home❤️
(No adoption fee for this sweet boy due to his special circumstances.)

Meet Garfield, a five-year-old, neutered, and soon-to-be-vaccinated, sweet, laid-back cat who was diagnosed with feline leukemia (FeLV). That means he must be adopted into a home as an only-cat or a home with other FeLV-positive kitties.

Garfield came to us pretty banged up. He had a large wound on his side and scrapes around his neck. His wounds have healed. He is currently not showing any signs of illness, and he loves to be loved.

Garfield REALLY wants out of his cage, but that can’t happen at the shelter due to his FeLV status. Yes, his diagnosis is unfortunate, but he still deserves a loving home.

❤While FeLV cats can have shorter lifespans, research is showing many FeLV + cats are living longer, fuller lives with proper care.

*What is proper care for an FeLV+ cat?
-Regular veterinary check-ups and monitoring for secondary infections
-Prompt treatment of any illness that arises
-Maintaining a clean, stress-free environment
-Providing balanced nutrition
-Providing lots of love

If you think your home is a good fit for Garfield, please stop by the shelter and visit him. He needs you. ❤️
