SAILORS: Don’t leave money on the table.

Check your TSP contribution rate to maximize your contribution. If you’re enrolled in the Blended Retirement System and contribute 5% of your base pay, the government contributes an additional 5%.

That means 10% of your base pay going toward retirement for half the price.

Contributing less than 5% means you may not receive the full match. But every dollar counts toward financing your future.

Log in to myPay to review or update your contribution rate. It only takes a few minutes to make sure you’re getting the most return on your investment: https://mypay.dfas.mil/ #/

A Navy career doesn’t look like just one thing.

It starts with a bus, a seabag, and arriving at RTC where your name suddenly becomes "Recruit."

It runs through your first command, the first watch you stand alone, and the pride of hearing someone address you by your rate for the first time.

Then the momentum builds: qualifying, pinning on warfare badges, evals, selection boards. With every advancement, more of the Navy’s mission rests in your hands.

And when it comes full circle, it concludes with a final salute and a generation of Sailors who learned the standard from you.

251 years of history isn’t found in archives; it’s lived in the people behind the uniform.

Every submarine has a Chief of the Boat. Why shouldn't the Navy have a rating for one?

Starting today, it will. COBCM will now be a standalone rate.

What this means in practice: a clear COB career path, a larger pool of technical leaders, and advancement that matches the job a Sailor is actually doing.

The Total Sailor: Fit to Fight Playbook is HERE.

Learn how the Navy is developing every Sailor into a stronger, more resilient warfighter.

Mind. Body. Spirit. 💪 🧠 ⚓

Our decisive advantage is our people. Sustaining that advantage requires deliberate investment in our Sailors and the development of cohesive, resilient, and lethal teams.

That is why today we are launching the Total Sailor: Fit to Fight Playbook.

A Total Sailor is strong in Mind, Body, and Spirit. These three elements form the foundation of a Sailor who can operate in uncertainty, overcome challenges, and perform when the nation calls.

This is not another program or checklist. It is our framework for deliberately developing Sailors who are ready to perform when our Nation needs them most.
