Did you know Wisconsin is home to 8 incredible bat species?
Small but mighty, these nocturnal neighbors do some serious heavy lifting for our ecosystem! By gobbling up thousands of insects—including agricultural and forest pests—bats play a huge role in keeping our local environment and economy healthy.

Drive Cautiously in Our Parks: Wildlife is on the Move!
Over the next few months, wildlife activity along park roads increases significantly, especially around dusk and dawn. Deer are in their breeding season (the rut), young animals are venturing out, and the upcoming clock change means peak travel times align right with peak animal movement.
Please slow down on park roads and stay alert—help us keep both our visitors and local wildlife safe this season! 🚗🌲
