On October 15, at approximately 8:45 a.m., a Fairfield Police Community Service Officer took a report of a vehicle stolen overnight. The vehicle was promptly entered into the Stolen Vehicle System.

Later that afternoon, officers received a Flock alert of the reported stolen vehicle traveling in the Travis Boulevard area. Drone pilots assigned to the Real Time Intelligence Center (RTIC) quickly deployed to assist in locating the vehicle.

RTIC personnel located the vehicle parked in the 1500 block of Oliver Road and directed officers to the vehicle. The driver, identified as 35-year-old Jasmine Grisby, was arrested on suspicion of possession of a stolen vehicle, along with unrelated outstanding arrest warrants.

This successful recovery is another example of the impact of technology-driven policing. Through the integration of rapid reporting, Flock camera alerts, drone technology, and real-time intelligence, Fairfield Police personnel were able to locate the stolen vehicle and return it to its rightful owner within hours of the initial report.

We had a great time participating in the Inspire Dreams event hosted at the Salvation Army Kroc Center!

Approximately 1,500 FSUSD middle school students had the opportunity to explore different career paths, connect with local professionals, and get a hands-on look at what their futures could hold!

Our team loved sharing a glimpse into the world of law enforcement and connecting with the next generation of future leaders. 👮🏻‍♀️👮🏽‍♂️

A big thank you to FSUSD and the event organizers for having us!

Over the past several weeks, multiple campaign signs belonging to candidates running for various City of Fairfield offices were vandalized. The investigation was assigned to personnel with the Fairfield Police Department’s Real-Time Intelligence Center for follow-up.

Using city cameras and coordination with a local business to review its surveillance footage, Officer W. Smith obtained a photograph of the suspect. A community member subsequently identified the individual as 68-year-old Jesus Piedra.

On October 13, Piedra was arrested on a felony vandalism charge and booked into the Solano County Jail.

The Fairfield Police Department takes acts of vandalism seriously and remains committed to investigating these incidents and holding those responsible accountable.

Outside of the uniform, Derek is a devoted husband and father who enjoys spending quality time with his family. He has also recently taken up Jiu-Jitsu, a hobby he enjoys sharing with his oldest son.

We’re excited to have Derek back on the team and look forward to all he’ll continue to contribute!

Please join us in welcoming Officer German Perez to the Fairfield Police Department!

Originally from Stockton, Officer Perez attended Cesar Chavez High School and went on to earn an Associate of Science degree in Health Studies.

Officer Perez is proudly paving a new path as the first in his family to pursue a career in law enforcement! It’s a meaningful milestone, and we’re excited to be part of this new chapter in his journey.

When he’s not serving the community, you can find him working on cars, keeping up with his favorite sports, or traveling and exploring new places.

On September 23, Officer Perez officially took his oath of office, surrounded by family and peers as he celebrated the beginning of his law enforcement career.

Congratulations and welcome to the Fairfield PD family, Officer Perez! We’re excited to have you on the team and look forward to all that you’ll accomplish! 👏🏼

Armed Suspect Arrested Following Multi-Agency Response

On October 11, at approximately 2:13 p.m., Fairfield Police officers responded to the 2500 block of Huber Drive following a report of an altercation involving a sh***un at a residence. Dispatchers quickly gathered critical information about the suspect and his vehicle and relayed those details to responding officers.

Shortly after, an officer spotted the suspect vehicle leaving the area and attempted to conduct a traffic stop. The driver refused to stop, leading officers on a pursuit. Due to the driver’s increasingly dangerous behavior and the risk posed to the public, officers made the decision to terminate the pursuit.

Information about the suspect and vehicle was immediately shared with the Vacaville Police Department. Working closely with their dispatchers, Vacaville officers gathered additional information from witnesses and found one of the suspects, identified as 35-year-old Bryan Horan, at a nearby restaurant in the 900 block of Alamo Drive. Officers also located the vehicle and sh***un believed to have been used during the incident nearby and secured both as evidence.  Fairfield police officers responded to take custody of Horan and recover the vehicle and sh***un.

Through further investigation and interviews with the victim, Fairfield officers determined the incident involved a home invasion robbery. Horan was subsequently arrested and booked into the Solano County Jail on charges including robbery, conspiracy, fi***rm-related offenses involving a convicted felon, and violation of his Post-Release Community Supervision terms.

We commend our dispatchers and responding officers for their swift actions in identifying and tracking the suspect. We also extend our appreciation to the Vacaville Police Department’s dispatchers and officers for their prompt response, coordination, and assistance in locating the suspect and recovering the fi***rm.

This incident highlights the importance of strong partnerships between neighboring law enforcement agencies and the critical role teamwork plays in keeping our communities safe.
