I have been in the healthcare profession for almost 15 years and have noticed many changes over the years to the standards and demands on the services provided for those that may need a little help with everyday tasks or a little companionship. With increasing cuts to social services and all of us leading busy lives it can be difficult to visit friends or loved ones as often as we would like to, the service I provide can reassure you or a loved one that someone is able to be there if needed. I have worked within both the NHS and private nursing agencies over the years and have hospital ward based experience as well as working within the community and private clients homes. I have a varied background including Adolescent Mental Health, Learning Disabilities, Health Visiting, Palliative Care and also wards such as Stroke, Oncology, Healthcare of the Elderly - mainly with patients with dementia, Orthopaedic Trauma and Emergency Admissions. Due to the changes I have seen within my working environment and my desire to do something for myself I feel that now is the right time to take things forward and offer support to those that may need a little companionship or help. I know personally how difficult even the simplest things can be at times, my grandmother suffered with Alzheimers and struggled to do things she had done so many times before and my grandfather also had mobility problems so relied heavily on mainly my mother to do everyday tasks safely.
