NO ESCAPE FROM JUSTICE: PNP NETS 69,200 WANTED PERSONS IN NINE-MONTH MANHUNT
The Philippine National Police, under the leadership of PNP Chief PGEN Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr., intensified its nationwide manhunt against fugitives, arresting 69,200 wanted persons from January to September 2026 as part of its relentless drive to bring lawbreakers to justice and strengthen public safety.
The arrests surpassed the 65,791 recorded during the same period in 2025 and the 65,926 in 2024, reflecting the PNPβs sustained efforts to track down individuals with outstanding warrants and ensure their appearance before the proper courts.
Of those arrested, 20 were most wanted persons with rewards, 19,364 were most wanted persons without rewards, and 49,816 were other wanted persons.
Through intelligence gathering, coordinated manhunt operations, and the implementation of warrants of arrest, the PNP continues to pursue wanted individuals while ensuring that police operations are conducted in accordance with the law.
βOur operations must deliver results that directly address criminal threats and strengthen public safety. We will pursue those who violate the law and ensure that every enforcement effort is carried out with professionalism and accountability,β PGEN Nartatez said.
βHindi dapat manaig ang takot sa ating mga komunidad. Sa pagtutulungan ng kapulisan at mamamayan, mas mapipigilan natin ang krimen at mapapanagot ang mga lumalabag sa batas,β he added.
These accomplishments support the PNP Focused Agenda, particularly Enhanced Managing Police Operations, which strengthens intelligence-driven enforcement, operational effectiveness, and police accountability.
Guided by the directive of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., the PNP will sustain its manhunt operations to bring wanted individuals before the proper courts, uphold the rule of law, and protect communities in line with its commitment to βBagong PNP para sa Bagong Pilipinas: Serbisyong Mabilis, Tapat, at Nararamdaman.β
