General information

The Joint Special Operations University is fully operational at MacDill AFB and well postured to increase its academic support to HQ USSOCOM and the U.S. Special Operations community. In AY13, we will continue to build the necessary faculty and support staff, while developing adequate funding sources to sustain our emerging programs. We will maintain the highest degree of excellence in our classrooms, whether at home or on the road, while aggressively integrating blended and distributed learning options. We will begin construction of a world-class, modern academic facility on MacDill AFB that supports the future learning requirements of our highly specialized force. We will complete the re-alignment of all designated courses, eliminate any redundant curricula and assure all JSOU efforts are directly linked to the commander's line of operation.
