U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Protecting human health and the environment 🌎🌊☀️🌱

EPA's purpose is to ensure that:

- all Americans are protected from significant risks to human health and the environment where they live, learn and work;

- national efforts to reduce environmental risk are based on the best available scientific information;

- federal laws protecting human health and the environment are enforced fairly and effectively;

- environmental protection is an integral consideration in U.S. policies concerning natural resources, human health, economic growth, energy, transportation, agriculture, industry, and international trade, and these factors are similarly considered in establishing environmental policy;

- all parts of society -- communities, individuals, businesses, and state, local and tribal governments -- have access to accurate information sufficient to effectively participate in managing human health and environmental risks;

- environmental protection contributes to making our communities and ecosystems diverse, sustainable and economically productive; and

- the United States plays a leadership role in working with other nations to protect the global environment.

At EPA, since President Trump was sworn back into office, we have delivered at least one important environmental win EVERY SINGLE DAY. From treating PFAS in 1.2 billion gallons of drinking water, to clearing more than 13,000 properties in record time after the LA wildfires, we are delivering real results for real communities — several hundred wins and counting. In a move that will provide predictable and stable markets for farmers, we are proposing 100% REALLOCATION for the additional 2025 Small Refinery Exemption volumes for the amount that exceeded estimates in the “Set 2” Rule. This proposal will strengthen the Renewable Fuel Standard program, open markets for farmers, and grow economic potential for rural communities. Administrator Zeldin just announced this breaking news in Iowa.

While in Peosta, Iowa, U.S. EPA Administrator Lee Zeldin announced revisions to the Renewable Fuel Standard (RFS) “Set 2” rule volumes to keep the historic and necessary volumes intact and increase target markets for American farmers.
