Explorer's Post 4700 of the Richland County Sheriff's Office

The Richland County Explorers Program is facilitated by the Richland County Sheriff's Office Community Policing Division. Members of the advisory board consist of active duty deputies, former police officers, mothers & fathers, and various adults within the law enforcement community. All advisers must go through a background check and meet the training requirements of the Ohio Counsel of the Boy Scouts of America.

The Richland County Sheriff's Explorer's (RCSE) program is open to young men and women ages 14 (and completed the 8th grade) and not yet 21 years old with an interest in learning more about careers in the field of Law Enforcement. RCSE provides educational training programs for young adults on the purposes, mission, and objectives of law enforcement. The program provides career orientation experiences, leadership opportunities, and community service activities. The primary goals of the program are to help young adults choose a career path within law enforcement and to challenge them to become responsible citizens of their communities and the nation.
