Your Take On Statistics is a video contest for students in the EU on 3 statistical indicators. Students can make a 90 second video on any or all of the 3 indicators for a chance to win a cash prize. PRIZES
Prizes for the finalists and winners in each of the three categories will be:
1st prize: €5,000
2nd prize: €2,000
3rd prize: €1,000
The public vote winner in each of the three categories will receive one non-monetary prize. All finalists and winners will be invited to an official award ceremony in Luxembourg in spring 2015 (travel and accommodation costs paid by the European Commission). You don’t need to be Steven Spielberg to enter. You can even produce your video on your mobile phone if you like. But you do need to show enthusiasm, originality and, of course, accuracy. • Be fun, entertaining and imaginative and show why statistics matter (be it video, animation, graphical – the style is up to you).
• Address one of three statistics categories, reflecting major issues affecting EU citizens.
• Be no longer than 90 seconds in length (longer clips will be disqualified).
• Any EU language can be used in the video. Video entries not submitted in English must be accompanied by sub-titles in English guarantee wide understanding. Full contest rules, entry categories, and guidelines for producing and entering your video are available at: http://bit.ly/Eurostat_ytos
IMPORTANT: It is essential to read the full terms and conditions for entry before you begin to develop your idea/begin production. See http://bit.ly/Eurostat_ytos
