As we pass the 2026 NYS Budget, I’m very proud to report that 4 of my bills were included and will soon become law! This is a budget that helps our law enforcement, firefighters, correction officers and sanitation workers - the wonderful men and women who keep New York moving forward.

From Howard Beach to Rockaway, it was an honor to once again come together with our community to commemorate Memorial Day and honor the lives of those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our great nation. Thank you to the volunteers, the local NYPD Precincts and the VFWs for your help in making these impactful ceremonyies

Our Vollies do AMAZING work - and with 5 different Volunteer Fire Departments in our community, I was proud to stand up and vote to strengthen support and increase the personal income tax credit from $200 to $800 for individuals, and $400 to $1600 for joint filers. Putting money back into the pockets of our Vollies is a small way NYS is saying thank you!

For 10 years I have had the honor of serving on the Assembly Veterans’ Affairs Committee. It has been a privilege to stand up for those who served our country and call New York home. As we adjourn our last Committee meeting, I appreciate the praise by the Chairman for my work & will always support our Veterans!

We are taking a major step forward as we start construction on the Arverne East project. Not only are we creating new housing, but even more importantly, homeownership opportunities with a public pool! I was proud to secure Assembly Capital funding for this project and thank Speaker Heastie and Governor Hochul for their help. This is the type of investment and partnership our community deserves!
