Investing in our Soldiers means investing in the future of our force.

Soldiers from across the III Armored Corps joined Texas A&M University-Central Texas for the launch of the IIIAC Continuing Education Program, a 10-week initiative focused on strengthening technical expertise, professional development and readiness.

Through faculty-led instruction in unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) operations, data analytics and software engineering, Soldiers will develop skills that support an increasingly complex and technology-driven operational environment.

During the opening session, Dr. Clos emphasized that education extends beyond technical proficiency, encouraging participants to embrace new perspectives, challenge themselves and pursue lifelong learning.

This collaboration reflects III Armored Corps' commitment to developing adaptable, technically proficient Soldiers while strengthening partnerships with academic institutions that support the future of our Army.

Patriot systems do not unpack themselves. Soldiers from 1-62 ADA, 69th Air Defense Artillery Brigade moved into the field during a battalion-wide mission readiness exercise at Fort Hood, emplacing launchers, establishing command-and-control systems and securing the formation. From cables and antenna masts to M903 launching stations and crew-served weapons, every component must work together to build a lethal air-defense network.

"GAS! GAS! GAS!" The CS chamber has a way of making training memorable. Soldiers from 2nd Battalion, 4th Field Artillery Regiment, 75th Field Artillery Brigade, inspected, fitted and tested their M50 protective masks during CBRN confidence training at Fort Sill.

The exercise built trust in their equipment, reinforced teamwork and prepared the formation to survive, operate and deliver lethal fires in contaminated environments. Because the mission does not stop when the air turns hostile.

From horses to helicopters to unmanned systems, transformation has always been part of the 1st Cavalry Division’s DNA. As part of III Armored Corps, the First Team is executing Pegasus Charge and testing next-generation combat vehicles, weapons and equipment under realistic battlefield conditions. Through exercises like Golden Shield, Troopers are also validating layered counter-UAS defenses designed to protect our armored formations from evolving aerial threats. This is how America’s Hammer builds the lethal, adaptive force required to fight and win.
