LOCAL GOVERNMENT MUST RETURN TO THE PEOPLE!
For too long, communities have endured failing local government, struggling with water shortages, electricity interruptions, poor sanitation, neglected roads, unemployment and many other service delivery challenges.
The people have paid the price for leadership that has forgotten who it is meant to serve.
UAT stands for people-centred governance, rooted in Ubuntu because motho ke motho ka batho. Governance must begin with the needs of ordinary people, restore dignity and ensure that no community is left behind.
UAT has demonstrated its commitment through practical interventions, including the construction of over 56 homes for vulnerable families, the donation of more than 502 wheelchairs, 15 boreholes and support for learners through school uniform and stationery programmes.
These interventions reflect a simple principle: we listen to the people, understand their struggles and respond with action.
As South Africa approaches 04 November 2026, the national conversation must be about accountability, dignity, service delivery and the future of our municipalities.
People first. Ubuntu always. Communities matter.
