ANC WARD 18 Maphanga Branch held its Branch General Meeting at Maphanga Community Hall to nominate Ward Councillor Candidates for 2026 Local Government Elections. ANC RWC member and Convener of deployees in Dr JS Moroka subregion Cde James Makhwithini was deployed to oversee the processses.
The BGM nominated the following candidates in order of preference:
1. Bishop Moses Dladla (M)
2. Cde Tebogo Phaswane (F)
3. Cde Johannah Mngomezulu (F)
4. Cde Abel Chauke (M)

The nominated candidates will be presented in the Community meeting that will be held on the 23rd May 2026 at Maphanga Community Hall⚫🟢🟡

Executive Mayor of Dr JS Moroka LM and ANC PEC member Cde Nomsa Mtshweni along with ANC councillors joined by ANC WARD 18 Maphanga Branch volunteers visited Matlaila family to pay condolences following the passing of Councillor Matlaila's mother.
