IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR APPLICANTS:
The work experience learners will receive a monthly stipend as follows:
• R1, 583.60 per month for a qualification less than 2 years ( work integrated learning)
• R2,400 .00 per month for a two year qualification
• R3, 210.00 per month for a 3 year qualification (National Diploma, B degree)
• R3, 745.00 per month for a 4 year qualification (Post graduate Diploma, B.Tech, Honours)
• R4, 815.00 per month for a Masters Degree.
• People who have already participated/benefited in Government or the private sector Work Experience/ Internship/In-service Programme for a period of 12 months and above will not be considered.
• Applicants must be in possession of a recognized qualification(s)
• Applicants must be South African citizens.

APPLICATION TO PARTICIPATE IN THE WORLDSKILLS SOUTH AFRICA NATIONAL COMPETITION JANUARY 2017

The college wishes to participate in CNC Turning, Welding, Plumbing and Heating, Electrical Installations, Bricklaying, Plastering and Dry walling, Hairdressing, Cooking.

Please note that students who wish participate cannot be older than 22 in 2017.

Before applying online read the standards for the program you wish to participate in and ensure that you have the necessary competence to be tested to these standards, DOWNLOAD STANDARDS HERE: WSSA_NC001_Competition_Standards_2016_17_V1 2.

Students first participate at a College level. The winners then compete at a provincial level against the other TVET Colleges in the province. The winners in KwaZulu-Natal then compete against the winners from the Colleges of other Provinces. Finally these winners represent South Africa at the world skills in Abu Dhabi against other Countries.

The competition is also open to individuals in Private industry who are not older than 22 in 2016.

The competitions will be held at the College.

Applications close on 15 May 2016. Only electronic submissions will be accepted. This is your chance to grow your career via a sponsored journey of a lifetime and represent South Africa at the International competition in Abu Dhabi.
