To mark World Trauma Day, IPSS Medical Rescue visited a few of our hospital-based teams to celebrate the people we work alongside when patients need us most.

Observed on 17 October, World Trauma Day highlights injury prevention and the importance of prompt, effective emergency care. For our crews and hospital colleagues, that responsibility continues every day.

To every person who plays a part in getting a patient from the scene into safe hands, thank you. We’re proud to work alongside you. 👩🏾‍⚕️👷🏽👮🏾‍♀️👨🏻‍⚕️🚑 🏥

11 October 2026

IPSS Medical Rescue was pleased to be of assistance to our partners The Al Imdaad Foundation today in Escourt where free medical screening was provided to members of the public.

This initiative was organised by the Al Imdaad Foundation and included major role players such as the Islamic Medical Association of South Africa and the KwaZulu-Natal Department of Health.

This is part of an ongoing project where the goal is to provide free medical screening to those who cannot afford it or who live too far away from their local clinics.

Today over 60 members of the public received free screening and provision of medication. Screenings included medical screening, physiotherapy screening, eye screening, audiology screening and dental screening.

IPSS Medical Rescue is proud to have been part of this initiative that allows us to give back to our local communities.
