Good evening bahlali,

It has been a sad and painful week. The news of women killed across Ekurhuleni is deeply troubling. My heart is heavy. This is no longer just gender-based violence — it is a sickness in our society.

I plead with our community: please allow the law to take its course. Do not take matters into your own hands. There are also disturbing reports of an incident in our ward. Until we know the facts, let us not speculate. Let us not spread fear. Rumours will only make things worse.

Since July, seven women's bodies have been found in the area, with four found in just the past few days. President Cyril Ramaphosa has directed police to urgently investigate and solve these murders.

To our women — our daughters, mothers, aunts and sisters — please be careful. Never walk alone. Always be aware of your surroundings. Your safety matters.

To our men — let us protect all women. We are here on earth because of our mothers. Let us act with respect, responsibility, and love.

Stay safe bahlali.

Good evening bahlali,

As we continue to attend to community concerns, the meeting coordinated by the Office of Clr Ranyawa to address the electricity blockage by the municipality was well attended by the Tamboville community.

All concerns raised were addressed by the MMC for Finance; Clr Jongizizwe Dhlabathi, and commitments were made.

This meeting was not only about promises; it was about tangible solutions and working together with the community!

Regards,
Clr Kenny Ranyawa

Good evening, bahlali

As the office of the Councilor we want to say how sorry we are for the damage and loss that today’s hail has caused to so many households and our infrastructure here in the ward and surrounding wards. We truly understand how difficult this is for you. Please know that we are in touch with the Disaster Management team to see how we can help. The forecast says the bad weather will continue through the weekend, so we urge you all to be very careful. Stay safe, stay indoors if you can, and always look out for danger signs. As always, Wattville is stronger when we work together, so let's continue to support one another where we can.

Take care.

Good day Bahlali,

we recently had a fruitful engagement with NERSA and Eskom, and we hope that this has brought more clarity and a better understanding regarding how electricity is charged; we also extend our sincere thanks to all community members who came out to listen and register their concerns.

Regards,
Clr Kenny Ranyawa.
