Water Progress Update.
24 June 2026.

The 36-hour maintenance shutdown is ongoing. Areas such as Phelindaba, Rocklands, Vista Park and associated areas may not experience water supply interruptions, as reservoir levels in the southern parts of the city remain healthy and adequate to sustain the system during the maintenance period.

Further updates will follow as the maintenance activities progress.

York Street,Basewater pipe cracking done and dusted. Sewer line running without complications thus far.

We apologise for the inconvenience encountered during the contraction period.

Our maintenance team is hard at work ensuring that our sanitation network remains free of foreign objects that cause sewer spillages in our communities.

Progress Update: 32 - Hours Water Notice.

Scouring of the main pipeline and the installation of the bulk water meter have both been successfully completed. Progress on the remaining planned activities is currently underway and teams remain on site to ensure completion of all outstanding work.

EMERGENCY NOTICE: Water Supply Interruption
22 June 2026.

Residents of Heuwelsig, Dan Pienaar and associated areas are advised that water supply may be interrupted due to emergency repairs on a pipe burst at the Heuwelsig Pump Station.

We apologise for the inconvenience. Water supply will be restored as soon as repairs are completed.

Thaba Nchu, Makurung Water Project: Pipelaying and Valves installation stages. The project is still within its timeframe.
