Motheo TVET College was proud to participate as a stakeholder in the Provincial Youth Farmers Day hosted by the FS Department of Agriculture, Rural Development And Environmental Affairs at Meadows Farm in Bloemfontein.

Held under the theme, "Reset @50 – The Future Calls", the event sought to address key challenges facing the agricultural sector, including food security, local economic growth and youth unemployment.

A highlight of the day was the participation of our Farming Management students from the Plot 32 and Zastron Campuses, who had the valuable opportunity to engage with MEC Elzabe Rockman. Such interactions expose students to industry leaders and provide insight into opportunities and developments.

The College extends its sincere gratitude to the Department of Agriculture, Rural Development and Environmental Affairs for the invitation to be part of this successful and impactful initiative that continues to empower young people through skills development, innovation and collaboration.

Motheo TVET College remains committed to producing skilled graduates who will contribute meaningfully to the agricultural sector and the broader economy.

Today, the College proudly handed over Certificates for the Basic Introduction to Sign Language Programme to our staff members.

This follows a successful contact session facilitated by the University of the Free State on 27 February 2026 at the Bloemfontein Campus.

The programme was designed to equip staff with basic South African Sign Language (SASL) skills and to deepen their understanding of Deaf culture, enabling them to better support students through the College's Disabled Unit.

The initiative forms part of our ongoing commitment to creating an inclusive learning environment where all students can thrive and succeed.

We extend our sincere gratitude to our valued partner, Kreishandwerkerschaft Steinfurt Warendorf, for their continued support in making this programme possible.
