SADTUSC Gauteng commemorates 70 years since the historic Women’s March of 1956, honouring the thousands of women whose courage, resilience and resistance helped shape our democratic South Africa. On this special day, we pay tribute to the generations of women educators who have continued this legacy by standing at the forefront of the struggle for quality education, equality and social justice. As SADTUSC, we reaffirm that the struggle for women’s liberation remains inseparable from the fight for a just and equal education system and a society that upholds the rights, dignity and leadership of all women.

Today, the SADTU Student Chapter Gauteng joins the nation in commemorating Mandela Day and honouring the life and legacy of Tata Nelson Mandela.

Madiba believed that education is one of the most powerful tools for changing lives. As future educators, we are inspired by his vision of a South Africa built on equality, opportunity, and quality education for all.

His legacy continues to guide us as we prepare to serve, lead, and make a meaningful difference in our schools and communities.

SADTUSC Successfully Hosts Teaching Practice Bilateral Meeting

SADTUSC successfully hosted a productive Teaching Practice Bilateral Meeting aimed at strengthening collaboration and addressing matters affecting student teachers during their teaching practice placement. The engagement provided a platform for constructive discussions, information sharing, and the development of practical solutions to enhance the teaching and learning experience. The session was joined by the Assistant Dean of School of Education and departmental coordinators.
