Some events are worth revisiting, and Electra Mining 2026 was certainly one of them.

From live fire suppression demonstrations and showcasing the different solutions within the IFT offering, to meeting customers, partners and industry professionals at Stand P17, it was a week filled with great conversations and valuable connections.

A highlight for us was being able to demonstrate our technology in action and engage directly with the people working in the demanding environments our solutions are designed to protect.

Battery-electric equipment is becoming an increasingly important part of modern mining.

Lithium-ion batteries can present complex fire hazards, including thermal runaway, where rising temperatures can trigger a self-sustaining reaction within battery cells.

For mining operations introducing battery-powered equipment, understanding these risks should be part of the broader fire safety strategy.
