Revolutionary greetings to the sons and daughters of the working class, the poor, and the marginalized, whose history is written in blood.
The Economic Freedom Fighters Youth Command (EFFYC) of Ibika Campus, iyunivesithi Walter Sisulu, is pleased to inform all students residing in the hostel that the washing machines will officially commence operations on Monday, 12 October 2026.
Furthermore, we are pleased to inform students that the washing machines at the Student Village are also operational, ensuring that students residing in the Student Village have access to these essential facilities.
This development follows engagements aimed at improving students’ living conditions and ensuring access to essential services within our residences. We acknowledge the importance of maintaining hygienic living spaces and remain committed to advocating for the dignity and well being of all students.
To ensure fair access and the effective management of the available seven washing machines, a designated block allocation system will be implemented as follows:
Washing Schedule
• Monday: Block L, A and B (Disability)
• Tuesday: Blocks A and B
• Wednesday: Blocks C and D
• Thursday: Blocks E and F
• Friday: Blocks G and H
• Saturday: Blocks J and K
• Sunday: Blocks N and M
Operating Hours
• Monday: 10h00–20h00
• Tuesday to Sunday: 08h00–22h00
Important Guidelines
1. All students must present their valid student cards to the residence officials to verify that they reside in the block allocated for that day.
Regards
EFFYC IBIKA BRANCH.
