COMMUNITY NOTICE:
WATER SUPPLY ALERT – CALEDON

23 October 2026

Theewaterskloof Municipality wishes to inform Caledon residents that a significant leak has been detected on the main water supply pipeline from Overberg Water to Caledon.

Overberg Water's technical teams are currently on-site attending to the necessary repairs.

As the affected pipeline supplies the town's reservoirs, reservoir levels may decline rapidly, potentially affecting water supply.

Residents are therefore urgently requested to use water sparingly and limit consumption to essential needs to help preserve reservoir levels and minimise the risk of supply interruptions.

Further updates will be communicated as soon as information becomes available from Overberg Water.

The Municipality apologises for any inconvenience caused and appreciates residents' cooperation.
