Leadville Dog Park Update 🐕

We’ve received a few queries regarding the maintenance and future plans for the Leadville Dog Park, so here is a quick look at where things stand.

𝐆𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐞𝐧 𝐂𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐀𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 (𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐞𝐭𝐞𝐝 & 𝐎𝐧𝐠𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐠):

✔️ Clean-Up: Major debris removal and deep clean of paved areas across Garden Cities property.

✔️ Fencing Upgrades: Installed and replaced secure square-mesh fencing along the dog-care portion to improve safety.

🔆 Looking Ahead:
While the main dog park falls under the ownership and management of the City of Cape Town’s Parks and Recreation Department, we are in direct contact with municipal officials to coordinate future efforts. The City's broader park upgrade programme is anticipated for inclusion in their upcoming 2027 budget cycle.

Rather than waiting, Garden Cities will continue actively maintaining the portions under our responsibility to ensure a clean, secure environment for our community.

On 16 July, we marked another proud milestone in Greenville, handing over keys to 26 new BNG homes. We were honoured to be joined by the local Ward Councillor as part of the official handover processes to welcome these families into their new space.

Together with the Western Cape Government and the City of Cape Town, Garden Cities has now delivered over 3,000 BNG homes in Greenville, continuing our commitment to sustainable, integrated community growth.
