What a beautiful and meaningful journey it has been! πŸ’—βœ¨

Elsies River Library proudly celebrated the graduation of our amazing WISE (Women’s Information Skills Empowerment) participants, marking the completion of a programme dedicated to learning, personal growth and women’s empowerment.

Our graduation ceremony was a wonderful opportunity to reflect on the journey, recognise the dedication of our participants and celebrate their achievements. We were also honoured to welcome Joy-ChantΓ© Kamineth, author of the anthology The Road Back to God and motivational speaker, who added inspiration to this special occasion. πŸ’πŸ“–

To our WISE graduates, congratulations! We hope you leave this programme feeling empowered, confident and inspired to continue learning, exploring new opportunities and believing in yourselves. Remember, this is not the end of your journey, but the beginning of a new chapter filled with possibilities. 🌟

A heartfelt thank you to our participants, staff, guest speaker and everyone who contributed to making this programme and graduation such a memorable experience.

Stay WISE. Stay Inspired. Keep Shining! πŸ’–

πŸ‡ΏπŸ‡¦βœ¨ Celebrating Our Heritage! βœ¨πŸ‡ΏπŸ‡¦

In honour of Heritage Day, Elsies River Library hosted a special Heritage Day Programme on 17 September with our wonderful senior citizens at Salberau Cottages. ❀️

The programme, facilitated by Sonja from Math Moms, was filled with meaningful conversations, storytelling and reflections on our heritage, culture and life experiences.

Our seniors had the opportunity to hear from two inspiring women who shared their personal stories and cultures. One shared her roots, heritage and traditions, while another shared her life journey, including her experiences growing up and her time in prison. Their stories reminded us of the importance of listening to, learning from and preserving the experiences of our community.

A beautiful day of sharing, remembering, learning and celebrating the stories that make us who we are. 🌍❀️
Thank you to Sonja from Math Moms and to all our
senior citizens for making the programme so special!
