Table View Library was proud to participate in the African Penguin Awareness Day event hosted by SANCCOB at Table Bay Nature Reserve on Saturday, 10 October 2026. 🐧

The event provided an opportunity to connect with the community, promote library membership, showcase digital resources such as Libby and PressReader, and share information about our programmes, including and other library activities.

We enjoyed engaging with visitors and raising awareness about the conservation of African Penguins and the importance of protecting our marine ecosystems.

Thank you to SANCCOB for hosting this great event and to everyone who stopped by to chat!

Day 1 of our September Holiday Programme kicked off with an author talk and a visit from SAPS Table View!

On Tuesday, 29 September, we welcomed children’s author Zoë Arendse, who treated our young visitors to a reading of "Ola the Ostrich". 🪶

The children then had fun creating their own colourful ostriches using different craft materials. The morning ended with an interactive safety session presented by SAPS Table View, where the children learnt about emergency actions and how to stay safe.
